HILOMATIK Continues The Story With A Brand New A-Sides EP

After the success of the first HILOMATIK A-Sides EP in 2025, the techno imprint proudly presents its successor. The A-Sides EP II consists of 6 carefully selected tracks, with contributions from Markus Schulz (‘Rave Generator’), Nicola Fasano (‘SIRIUS’), Deus Deserto (‘REP’), Jochem Hamerling (“Shooting ‘Em Down’), Paula van Klar (‘Silence Replayed’), and YellowHeads (‘Mind Patterns’). It’s another showcase of HILOMATIK covering the full techno spectrum, with songs ranging from minimal- to hard techno.

Nicola Fasano: “This isn't just a cover; it’s a sonic bridge between eras. My latest production takes the iconic "Sirius" by The Alan Parsons Project and breathes new life into it. The goal was to refresh the original masterpiece for a modern audience without losing the cinematic soul that made it a legend. The backbone of this production lies in its analog DNA. To honor the original 1982 atmosphere, I utilized some of the exact same Moog synthesizers used in the original recording. This ensures a rich, warm, and authentic texture that stays true to the source material. While keeping the core melody intact, I’ve introduced a contemporary electronic flavor.

The arrangement flirts with the boundaries of Melodic Techno - it brushes against its driving energy and hypnotic rhythms without ever fully crossing over. It maintains a sophisticated balance that makes it: this version is designed to be a versatile weapon in a DJ's arsenal. It provides that "hands-in-the-air" moment of recognition, powered by a rhythmic drive that fits perfectly into today's electronic music scene. It’s a tribute to the past, engineered for the future.”

Deus Deserto: “I wanted to create a heavy bass track with massive energy. “REP” was built exactly around that, heavy bass to shock the system, with catchy rap vocals to pull the listener in.”

Jochem Hamerling: “I’ve had a great last year where my releases got to another level with labels like ASOT, Truesoul, Watergate and more. This gave me a huge inspiration boost but also made me think what direction I wanted to take. My biggest inspiration from a young age were the renaissance and global underground compilations so I started to listen to those again to find the sounds that made me fall in love with dance music. This made me realize I wanted to focus more on grooves, progression, atmosphere. This is one of those tracks made after listening to one of those classic mix compilations."

Paula van Klar: “This track started from the idea of using my own voice as part of the production, not in a traditional vocal way, but more as a texture inside the track. I wanted the lyrics to feel abstract and open to interpretation rather than too literal. The line “Silence replayed, time is delayed” reflects the feeling of being stuck in a moment that keeps looping in your mind, when silence says more than words and time feels stretched because something still remains.”

YellowHeads: “This release was born directly from the dancefloor, produced with one clear goal: to work at techno peak time. Powerful rhythms, precise percussion, and a structure designed to keep the energy high from start to finish, with no unnecessary elements. It’s a track made for that exact moment in the set when the tension is at its highest and the crowd is fully locked in. HILOMATIK is the perfect home for this release, a label that represents the raw, direct club energy this production was built for.

The mood of the track is powerful, driving and high-energy, built for peak-time moments. It delivers constant momentum with a clean, modern techno feel, focused on groove, tension and impact.
