Spanish duo Prophecy discuss life on and off tour following the release of their debut release "Wasted" on HILOMATIK.

After collaborations with industry powerhouses such as Tiesto and David Guetta, Spanish duo Prophecy has cemented their names in the melodic techno scene. Earlier this month, they celebrated their debut release "Wasted" on HILOMATIK. With these recent achievements in mind, it’s time to spotlight the two artists behind the project: Mike and Sergio. Q: What are your passions and hobbies outside of music? A: Outside of music, we love staying active. Mike has been into fitness for years, and training has become a big part of his lifestyle. Sergio has recently started training too, and he’s really enjoying the process. We’re also huge video game fans, it’s one of our favorite ways to relax and switch off. Besides that, we enjoy traveling, discovering new places, spending time with friends and family, and finding inspiration in everyday life. Sometimes the best ideas come when we’re not thinking about music at all. Q: If you hadn’t become artists, what job would you have wanted to do? A: We’ve always been creative people, so we’d probably still be doing something related to creativity or technology. Maybe running our own business or working in marketing or sports. Mike has always been fascinated by aviation, though, and getting a pilot’s license has been one of his dreams for years, so maybe he would’ve ended up as a pilot! Whatever it was, it would have to be something that keeps us challenged. Q: What kind of people are you outside the DJ/producer life? A: We’re actually much more relaxed than people might expect. We enjoy simple plans, good conversations, and spending time with the people closest to us. On stage we’re full of energy, but off stage we’re pretty down-to-earth. Q: What does a good night out look like for you? A: It doesn’t have to be a huge party. A good dinner with friends, a few drinks, good music, and lots of laughs are more than enough. Sometimes the best nights are the most spontaneous ones. Q: What are your essentials to bring with you when on tour? A: Headphones, our laptop, USBs, passports, a portable charger, comfortable clothes… and coffee. Lots of coffee! Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever received from a fan? A: We’ve received some really creative gifts and handwritten letters that meant a lot to us. It’s always amazing to see how much people connect with our music. That’s honestly more valuable than anything else. Q: What’s the first thing you do when you get back home from touring? A: Take a long shower, turn off our phones, and just relax for the rest of the day. After being away for a while, it’s the little things you appreciate the most. Q: What’s the thing you like most about being on tour with each other? A: We know each other really well. We started making music together when we were both 14, so there’s a lot of trust between us. We can rely on each other in every situation, whether it’s performing, traveling, or making important decisions. It makes everything so much easier. Q: What’s the thing you like least about being on tour with each other? A: To be honest, there’s not much we argue about. We agree on probably 95% of everything, which makes working and touring together really easy. If we had to pick one thing, though, it would probably be deciding where to eat… mainly because Sergio is a bit of a picky eater! Haha.
